Just tested out this ten over the past weekend at Mount San Jacinto here in SoCal. It held up pretty well while battling 30, 40 mile gust near the peak. Hardly any condensation build up (probably due to the winds) and all stakes remained ground throughout the night. Reason why I gave it 4 stars was because I wished it came with an additional ground cover of some sort. Though much of the campground was covered in granite sand the condensation form the rain a weekend before still managed dampen my sleeping bag underneath as well as my sleeping pad. Also, not sure ifs the material or sealant used it made everything stick to it, but nothing a good shake before packing up again could take care of. Other than that, love the color and still a solid tent. Will be part of my set up for any upcoming backpacking trips for next year.

Hi Alfredo,
Thank you so much for taking the Horizon Lite 2 up to Mount San Jacinto and sharing such a detailed review — sounds like it went through some serious wind testing!
We really appreciate your feedback about the ground cover. The matching footprint is actually coming very soon — it’s scheduled to launch around late October or early November. We’ll make sure to notify you once it’s available.
Glad to hear you loved the color and performance — your feedback helps us make the next version even better.
Happy trails,
The WindQuester Team

Lightweight and easy to set up, perfect for bikepacking or weekend trips. Love the roomy vestibules and solid weather protection. Only wish the packed size was a bit smaller, but overall a great balance of weight and durability.

Didn’t expect much at first, but wow. It’s light, strong, and actually kept me dry in a nasty storm. My buddy’s tent leaked, mine didn’t. He was jealous all night.

Absolutely love the Horizon Lite 2!

Just finished a 3-day backpacking trip in the alpine, and this tent blew me away. Lightweight enough for long hikes but still feels super durable. Setup was quick even solo, and the internal space felt surprisingly roomy for such a compact design. We had a windy night at high elevation, but the DAC poles and low-profile shape held strong with zero issues.

Also — the color pops beautifully in photos. It’s a photographer’s dream for those Instagram-worthy summit shots!

If you're looking for a true ultralight tent that actually performs in the wild, this is it. No regrets.
